I see myself as an erotic and sexual human being. My art is about uncovering my body to observe it, admire its unique beauty and to free myself from all forms of shame. I have to redefine porn daily. For me, porn is something that doesnТt titillate the mind. It is flat and humorless. Erotic art is richly deep and dynamic. It vivifies our sexuality. It arouses our mind with images that contradict and challenge. It confronts our hypocrisies, our denials and our deepest desires.In my current work the personal has become political. It chronicles the journey of Pam, ashamed and embarrassed about her puss becoming Pammm, a fully shaved and sexually liberated woman. The autobiographical figures in my paintings are colorful caricatures that reside in Toonsville or the Garden of Eden (which ever you prefer) Ц a УshamelessФ place where oneТs head can fall off and be easily reattached, where obstacles are hopelessly transparent and where raw sex resembles bubblegum. They are unembellished and unabashedly honest. When viewed we feel like we have walked into an unlocked by occupied bathroom. We jump around as if we are completely embarrassed even if we are not. We giggle. We squirm. We slam the door shut. We take a deep breath and walk away angry we behaved so childishly.
